Background And Objectives: Several computational pipelines for biomedical data have been proposed to stratify patients and to predict their prognosis through survival analysis. However, these analyses are usually performed independently, without integrating the information derived from each of them. Clustering of survival data is an underexplored problem, and current approaches are limited for biomedical applications, whose data are usually heterogeneous and multimodal, with poor scalability for high-dimensionality.

This report describes 2 cases of HAC with axillary lymph node metastasis, both initially misinterpreted clinically. Methods: A sample of high school adolescents was enrolled, and demographic and clinical data were collected.
Purpose: Rare cancers constitute over 20% of human neoplasms, often affecting patients with unmet medical needs. The development of effective classification and prognostication systems is crucial to improve the decision-making process and drive innovative treatment strategies. We have created and implemented MOSAIC, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based framework designed for multimodal analysis, classification, and personalized prognostic assessment in rare cancers.

Even if obesity in essence is not framed as an eating disorder and has always been considered a separate pathology, ED and obesity could be considered part of a continuum. It has become evident that one condition can lead to another, such as binge eating disorder (BED) and bulimia nervosa, and that they share the same repercussions in terms of psychosocial, metabolic, and nutritional health.

Disseminated TB represents a life-threatening condition, especially in at-risk children and when diagnosis and treatment are delayed. We report on a case of a 3-year old boy who presented with long-lasting unrecognised disseminated TB that was successfully managed in a low-resource setting.

We present a fulminant and fatal case of a 74-year-old Caucasian woman suffering from CLL treated with second-generation BTK inhibitor zanubrutinib. After a first septic episode a month prior, originating from the lung with later systemic involvement by an unidentified agent and treated with large-spectrum antibiotics and fluconazonle, a slow-onset enlarging tender warm and erythematous nodular swollen cutaneous lesion appeared in her lower limbs and spread subsequently to her upper limbs, progressing towards central ulceration with a necrotic core.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose Of Review: The aim of this review is to provide a complete perspective of the evidence that led to the three recent new landmarks of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) definition and prognostication: the WHO 2022 and International Consensus Classification (ICC) 2022 classification and the Molecular Intermational Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS-M) score.
Recent Findings: The molecular founding lesions of MDS are strongly linked with disease phenotype and prognosis, therefore the genetic assessment have become part of MDS classifications and prognostication.
Summary: The WHO 2022 now recognizes the class 'MDS with defining genetic abnormalities'.
Spontaneous events have been reported after COVID-19 vaccination. In this case, we report a thrombotic event in an unusual site (ulnar artery) after COVID-19 vaccination. The patient (69 year-old-male) had no changes after a laboratory investigation regarding thrombophilic pattern, but nevertheless had atherothrombotic predisposing conditions.
