Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and is obligatory for all healthy Muslims from the age of puberty. This article reports a rare case of acute pyelonephritis secondary to left ureteral obstruction by a bladder catheter. The patient was 93years old man hospitalized in the hospital emergency department with a 39°C fever and pyuria from an indwelling catheter.
