Research on the therapeutic use of parasites has been ongoing since the development of the "hygiene hypothesis". Parasites can stimulate the Th2-dependent response and suppress the Th1-dependent response, which is intensified in many diseases, especially allergic and autoinflammatory ones. In this review, we present the types of parasites used in helminth therapy and the range of diseases in which they may be useful.

DOSIRISis a dosimeter that can accurately measure lens dose. Herein, we investigated lens dose in interventional cardiology physicians 1 year before and after the reduction of the lens dose limit using a neck dosimeter and lens dosimeter measurements.

However, prolonged external ventricular drain (EVD) use can lead to central nervous system (CNS) infections such as ventriculitis. In the ICU setting, nosocomial infections with gram-negative, multi-drug resistant (MDR) organisms such as (AB) prevail, leading to poor outcomes.

This microorganism can also easily acquire antibiotic resistance determinants, making the treatment of infections a big challenge, and has the ability to persist in the hospital environment under a wide range of conditions. The objective of this work was to study the molecular epidemiology and genetic characteristics of two outbreaks (2009 and 2020-21) at a tertiary hospital in Northern Spain.

Although interventional radiology (IVR) is preferred over surgical procedures because it is less invasive, it results in increased radiation exposure due to long fluoroscopy times and the need for frequent imaging. Nurses engaged in cardiac IVR receive the highest lens radiation doses among medical workers, after physicians. Hence, it is important to measure the lens exposure of IVR nurses accurately.
