Objectives: Maternal protein malnutrition alters brain functioning, impairing fetal development. Physical exercise during gestation benefits the fetal organism from maternal adaptive changes that may be neuroprotective. This study evaluated the effect of a low-protein diet associated with maternal voluntary physical activity (VPA) on rats' behavioral and brain electrophysiological parameters in the mother-pup dyad.

Human cases have been mainly restricted to the African continent until the worldwide multi-country outbreak unfolded in 2022. We reconstructed epidemiological links of 53 MPXV infections using genomic epidemiology in Rio Grande do Sul State, southern Brazil, during 2022 and 2023.

Due to its structural characteristics, developing inhibitors for the target has proven to be challenging. In this study, the anti-MYC potential of lanostane-type triterpenes was investigated for the first time, using computational approaches that involved ensemble docking, prediction of structural properties and pharmacokinetic parameters, molecular dynamics (MD), and binding energy calculation using the molecular mechanics-generalized born surface area (MM-GBSA) method.

The CQDs were successfully obtained and characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, Dynamic light scattering, Raman, and UV-vis techniques, also showing endogenous self-doping. The anti-corrosive activity of CQDs was investigated by gravimetric tests, potentiodynamic polarization curves, electrochemical impedance measurements, atomic force microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.

Multiple studies have demonstrated the role of the nasal bacteriome in AR and AS, but little is known about the airway mycobiome and its potential association to airway inflammatory diseases. Here we used the internal transcriber spacers (ITS) 1 and 2 and high-throughput sequencing to characterize the nasal mycobiome of 339 individuals with AR, AR with asthma (ARAS), AS and healthy controls (CT).
