Background And Aim: Remimazolam has proved to be a very promising sedative drug in randomized clinical trials for usage in a wide spectrum of patients, including critically ill ones. The purpose of our study was to verify efficacy and safety of remimazolam for procedural sedation during diagnostic and first level operative endoscopy in a real-world setting.

Methods: This single centre prospective study evaluated sedation regimen with remimazolam for EGDS and fentanyl and remimazolam for colonoscopy in consecutive ASA 1-3 patients.

This study employs a clustering approach to assess the readiness for interprofessional education (IPE) among students enrolled in health-related study programs in Albania. Among a sample of 1470 students, complete data were available for 1383 participants, while 87 cases had missing data. Three distinct clusters were identified using hierarchical clustering analysis based on age and readiness domains: Teamwork (TW) and Professional Practice Identity (PPI).

Background: Diabetes mellitus is closely related to periodontal disease and dental lesions, disorders which through dental infection and metabolic imbalance become negatively potentiated and cause a vicious circle that is almost impossible to break. The aim of this research was to study if the severity of dental and periodontal lesions is related to the presence of microvascular complications and glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Methods: In total, 112 subjects with T2DM that underwent a dental evaluation were enrolled in this case-control study.

The mu opioid receptor (MOR) is protected from opioid-induced trafficking to lysosomes and proteolytic downregulation by its ability to access the endosomal recycling pathway through its C-terminal recycling motif, LENL. MOR sorting towards the lysosome results in downregulation of opioid signaling while recycling of MOR to the plasma membrane preserves signaling function. However, the mechanisms by which LENL promotes MOR recycling are unknown, and this sequence does not match any known consensus recycling motif.
