The objective was to investigate effects of dietary tomato pomace (TP) and L-Arginine (L-Arg; 10% above nutritional recommendation) in aged male broiler breeders. Thirty male broiler breeders (Ross 308), 58 wk old, were randomly and equally allocated into five experimental groups: basal diet (C); 5% TP-supplemented (T-5); 10% TP-supplemented (T-10); 15% TP-supplemented (T-15); and L-Arg supplemented (L-10) groups. The decline in reproductive efficiency during post-peak period of production in poultry species holds significant economic implications. This study aimed to investigate the productive and reproductive performance of Japanese quails across distinct production stages and the association between these parameters and some genes expression and histometric alterations within the reproductive system. Plant-based semen extenders, typically derived from soybean lecithin, are easier to modulate more and consistent in their composition than animal-based extenders. As large lecithin particles can, however, reduce effectiveness and solubility in bull semen extenders, sonication was used to create nano-lecithin (NL) particles of soybean lecithin.
