Background: External ventricular drains (EVDs) provide an invaluable diagnostic method for accessing cerebrospinal fluid and therapeutically treating elevated intracranial pressure. Although complications including hemorrhage and infection have been well documented, the formation of iatrogenic pseudoaneurysms following EVD placement has rarely been reported. The authors present a case of this exceedingly rare complication of iatrogenic pseudoaneurysm formation following EVD placement.

Using a chick embryo slice system, we find that the flat stage is actually a poised balance of opposing dorsal and ventral elastic bending tensions. An intact extracellular matrix (ECM) is required for generating tension, as localized digestion of ECM dissipates tension, while removal of endoderm or ectoderm layers has no significant effect.

The replisome-associated E3 ubiquitin ligase TRAIP mitigates this threat by ubiquitylating the CMG helicase in mitosis, leading to disassembly of stalled replisomes, fork cleavage, and restoration of chromosome structure by alternative end-joining. Here, we show that replisome disassembly requires TRAIP phosphorylation by the mitotic Cyclin B-CDK1 kinase, as well as TTF2, a SWI/SNF ATPase previously implicated in the eviction of RNA polymerase from mitotic chromosomes.

However, the shortage of physiotherapists, particularly in developing countries where the ratio is approximately ten physiotherapists per million people, poses a significant challenge to effective rehabilitation services. The existing literature on rehabilitation often falls short in data representation and the employment of diverse modalities, limiting the potential for advanced therapeutic interventions.
