The duration and severity of prothrombotic effects of the maximum tolerated dose of paclitaxel (40 mg/kg) were evaluated in intact outbred mice. Hemostasis was assessed before and on days 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, and 30 after a single injection of paclitaxel using standard coagulation tests (activated partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time, fibrinogen concentration, and antithrombin III) and a "global" method, low-frequency piezothromboelastography. A pronounced prothrombotic effect of paclitaxel was revealed starting from the first day postinjection that consisted in intensification of fibrinogenesis up to the 7th day in parallel with activation of the anticoagulant mechanisms.

The study was carried out to trace back quantitative alterations of positional isomers, oleic and palmitic triglycerides and individual fatty acids in blood serum. After two weeks of taking of Simvastatin (40, 80 mg), analysis of blood serum established decreasing of content of Рhosphatidylcholine and more reliable decreasing of amount of non-etherized alcohol cholesterol. No alterations of content of particular fatty acids were detected.

The hypolipidemic effect of statins is realized by inhibition of synthesis of local pool of cholesterol spirit in endoplasmic net of hepatocytes. The cholesterol spirit covers all hydrophobic medium of triglycerides with polar mono layer of phosphatidylcholines and cholesterol spirit prior to secretion of lipoproteins of very low density into hydrophilic medium. The lesser mono layer between lipase enzyme and triglycerides substrate contains of cholesterol spirit the higher are the parameters of hydrolysis of palmitic and oleic lipoproteins of very low density.

The technique of evaluation of metabolism of fatty acids in vivo consists in detection of content of fatty acids in phospholipids of membranes of erythrocytes. The fatty acids are received with food, through synthesis on liver from carbohydrates and by katabolism of very long-chain polyolefinic fatty acids of food in peroxisomes of hepatocytes (oxidation, saturation and desaturation). In position sn-1 phospholipids more often than palmitic fatty acid (14%) stearic fatty acid is esterified (21% of all fatty acids).

We studied the mechanism of interaction of peripheral blood neutrophils with endothelial cells (expression of cell adhesion molecules and production of NO) and the role of neutrophil apoptosis in the development of endothelial dysfunction. The effects of mitochondrial dysfunction of neutrophils on the development of apoptosis of these cells after their interaction with endothelial cells were analyzed.
