Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of anti-angiogenic therapy using fluctuation and variability in patients with exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Material And Methods: This study included 200 patients with types 1, 2, 3 neovascularization and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). All patients underwent standard ophthalmological examination, as well optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography (OCT-A).
Clinical case of mitochondrial encephalomyopathy manifested with lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes was presented. The patient diagnosis was performed in childhood, based on clinical manifestation, and was confirmed with molecular genetic test (mutation m.3243A>G in gene was revealed).

Hospital workers perform many cleaning and disinfecting activities and may be vulnerable to respiratory and skin symptoms caused by these agents. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to quantify the risk of asthma and asthma-like symptoms in hospital workers exposed to cleaning/disinfecting agents.
