Background: Psoriasis patients who are seropositive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) or hepatitis B core antibody (HBcAb) face an elevated risk of hepatitis B virus reactivation (HBVr) when treated with cytokine inhibitors. This study aims to elucidate the risk in this population.

Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted to assess the risk of HBVr in 73 psoriasis patients treated with cytokine inhibitors from 2013 to 2023.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia, marked by progressive brain degeneration and cognitive decline. A major pathological feature of AD is the accumulation of hyperphosphorylated tau (p-tau) in the form of neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs), which leads to neuronal death and neurodegeneration. P-tau also induces endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and activates the unfolded protein response, causing inflammation and apoptosis.

Allergen-reactive T helper (Th) 2 cells play a pivotal role in initiating asthma pathogenesis. The absence or interruption of CD28 signaling causes significant consequences for T-cell activation, leading to reduced cell proliferation and interleukin (IL)-2 production. A novel compound, Cyn-1324, exhibits a higher binding affinity to CD28 than CD80.

High-energy metal deposition significantly impacts the performance and reliability of two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors and nanodevices. This study investigates the localized annealing effect in atomically thin InO induced during high-energy metal deposition. The localized heating effect alters the electronic performance of InO devices, especially in shorter channel devices, where heat dissipation is further constrained.

Background: Impaired oxidation of branched chain amino acids may give rise to volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We hypothesized that VOCs will be present in exhaled breath of participants with propionic acidemia (PA), and their relative abundance would correlate with clinical and biochemical characteristics of the disease.

Methods: We enrolled 5 affected participants from a natural history study of PA (ClinicalTrials.
