Ramadan diurnal intermittent fasting in patients with diabetes: assessment of knowledge, practices, risk of complications, and impact of pre-ramadan education.

Objectives: Evaluate diabetic patients' knowledge, practices, and the prevalence of complications during Ramadan fasting (RF) before and after an education program.

Methods: We conducted a prospective study including 140 consecutive diabetic patients (DP) who intended to observe RF in 2023. Patients underwent a questionnaire and received pre-Ramadan education (PRE) according to the IDF-DAR 2021 recommendations.

New Quinazolin-4(3H)-One Derivatives Incorporating Isoxazole Moiety as Antioxidant Agents: Synthesis, Structural Characterization, and Theoretical DFT Mechanistic Study.

: This research centers on the development and spectroscopic characterization of new quinazolin-4(3H)-one-isoxazole derivatives (). The aim was to investigate the regioselectivity of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition involving arylnitriloxides and N-propargylquinazolin-4(3H)-one, and to assess the antioxidant properties of the synthesized compounds. The synthetic approach started with the alkylation of quinazolin-4(3H)-one using propargyl bromide, followed by a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction.

Efficient Synthesis, Structural Characterization, Antibacterial Assessment, ADME-Tox Analysis, Molecular Docking and Molecular Dynamics Simulations of New Functionalized Isoxazoles.

This work describes the synthesis, characterization, and in vitro and in silico evaluation of the biological activity of new functionalized isoxazole derivatives. The structures of all new compounds were analyzed by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The structures of and were further confirmed by single crystal X-ray and their compositions unambiguously determined by mass spectrometry (MS).

Ruthenium(II) Complex-Based Tetradentate Schiff Bases: Synthesis, Spectroscopic, Antioxidant, and Antibacterial Investigations.

In this work, we describe the synthesis of novel Ruthenium (II) complex-based salen Schiff bases. The obtained Ruthenium (II) complexes are characterized using usual spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques, viz., IR, UV-Vis, NMR (H and C), powder X-ray diffraction, and HRMS.
