The aim of this study was to investigate the potential of Waru bark fiber (WBF) as a reinforcement material for composite. To achieve this aim, WBF was extracted using a conventional process, ensuring purity, and then characterized for physical, mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties. Microstructure analysis was performed using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to show uniform and exceptional fiber sheets with naturally woven fiber shapes.

However, there is currently no assessment available regarding the relationship between ASCVD classic and occupational profiles to WHO CRC, specifically in occupational settings and in the context of the Indonesian Heart Association's (IHA) adjusted version of the WHO CRC for South-East Asia (WHO CRC-INA). This study aims to fill this gap by examining the relationship between classic (Atherosclerosis Cardiovascular Disease) ASCVD and occupational profiles within the oil and gas industry, specifically the WHO CRC-INA.

Methods: Specific pathogen-free (SPF) embryonated chicken eggs were used to inoculate samples.
Cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX) enzymes play a pivotal role in producing pro-inflammatory eicosanoids, including prostaglandins (PGs) and leukotrienes (LTs), in the inflammation process. Mitragynine is a primary alkaloid contained in the kratom's leaves and has been reported to show anti-inflammatory activity by suppressing COX-2 mRNA translation to lowering PGs synthesis. In this study, the Kratom's alkaloid extract containing ~ 46% mitragynine was found to exhibit dual inhibition activity towards COX-2/5-LOX enzymes at concentrations below 25 ppm in the LPS-induced RAW 264.

The number of spinal reconstruction cases is growing, as are the accompanying complications. Wound complications after spinal reconstruction can be fatal and can affect up to 19% of patients undergoing major spine surgery. The discipline of spinoplastic surgery is characterized by the use of vascularized bone grafts to reconstruct spinal defects, which provide better results compared with nonvascularized and allogenic equivalents, owing to their superior blood supply.
