Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to understand the experiences of people with obesity who struggled with weight at an early age (EAO) versus those who faced challenges later in life (LAO), focusing on their interactions with healthcare practitioners (HCPs) and mental health issues like depression and anxiety.
  • Analysis of responses from 1,000 adults showed that EAO individuals had fewer weight loss attempts, less support from HCPs, and higher levels of anxiety and depression, compared to LAO individuals.
  • The conclusion emphasizes the need for HCPs to identify and address weight management issues earlier in life, specifically in adolescents, while involving parents in decision-making to improve motivation and self-confidence in overcoming obesity.*

A new double perovskite phase, Sr(SnSbIn)O, was successfully synthesized a solid-state reaction and comprehensively characterized using both experimental and theoretical techniques. Powder X-ray diffraction was used to determine the crystal structure, while scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed a high degree of densification and uniform grain distribution across the ceramic. Raman and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) absorption spectra of the powder present broad bands predominantly due to different stretching modes of the various SnO , InO and SbO octahedra in the region = 400-800 cm.

Background And Objective: The wingless-related integration site family (WNT) signaling pathway is critical for tumor progression and development. It is associated with various neoplasms produced by WNT pathway deregulation; WNT5A, a member of the WNT family, has been linked to carcinogenesis, exhibiting either oncogenic or tumor-suppressive effects. The study investigates how the gene affects certain types of cancer.
