Considerations for developing syndrome-informed early interventions for children with neurogenetic conditions.

New insights regarding the early emergence of phenotypic patterns of strength and challenge in neurogenetic conditions afford the possibility of personalized, anticipatory intervention approaches. The development of novel 'syndrome-informed' interventions, however, should incorporate principles that will maximize the utility of intervention activities for as many children with a given neurogenetic condition as possible. This review examines several of these dimensions, including the use of community-engaged frameworks to ensure feasibility and acceptability of novel interventions; the development of cross-nationally valid approaches that can be readily translated into other languages and cultural contexts; and the use of adaptive interventions designs that allow for the tailoring of intervention pathways based on key child dimensions.

Identifying new ligands for these channels affords opportunities for the potential development of new insecticide products.

Patient and Health Care Professional Perspectives on Barriers to and Facilitators of Healthy Eating and Exercise Among Patients With Cancer at a Safety-Net Oncology Clinic: A Qualitative Exploration.

Purpose: Previous studies have described barriers to and facilitators of healthy eating and being physically active among patients with cancer, but few have done so in a safety-net community oncology setting.

Materials And Methods: To understand multiple perspectives on the factors that influence diet and exercise in patients with cancer treated in safety-net settings, we conducted semistructured interviews between June and November 2021 with patients and oncology clinic medical professionals at a safety-net hospital in Houston, TX.

Results: Thirty-one patients with cancer were interviewed, including 11 patients on active treatment and 20 survivors, as well as 21 care health care professionals.

Assessing mental health of people with complex communication needs: A systematic review.

Mental health is "a state of wellbeing" as per the World Health Organisation. People with disabilities generally experience poorer wellbeing than those without disabilities. Instruments which assess wellbeing or its three core components (emotional, psychological, social) may be less accessible or appropriate for people with complex communication needs (CCN).

Optical frequency combs have enabled unique advantages in broadband, high-resolution spectroscopy and precision interferometry. However, quantum mechanics ultimately limits the metrological precision achievable with laser frequency combs. Quantum squeezing has led to significant measurement improvements with continuous wave lasers, but experiments demonstrating metrological advantage with squeezed combs are less developed.
