The observed increase in cases of earwax plugs in patients, as well as the variety of methods of their removal using agents with different cerumenolysis activity, emphasize the need to search for the most modern and multifunctional otolaryngological preparations with proven efficacy. Based on the results of the analysis and generalization of literature sources on the treatment and prevention of ear sulfur plugs, presented in specialized publications in the Russian scientific eLibrary and scientific databases MedLine, Web of Science, Scopus, the need to optimize treatment methods and preventive measures has been identified. In this regard, it is recommended to widely use the preparation A-Cerumen Plus as one of the most progressive means.

[Changes in the type and amount of bone collagens in chronic suppurative otitis media].

Objective: Comparative assessment of the collagen-tissue interaction in the bone tissue of the middle ear structures in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM).

Material And Methods: A prospective study of 42 patients aged 16-60 years with CSOM admitted for reconstructive sanitizing surgery was performed. To study the collagen-tissue interaction, intraoperative samples of the bone tissue of the middle ear were used.

[Clinical case of angiosarcoma of ethmoidal labyrinth and frontal sinus, issues of morphological verification of diagnosis].

A clinical case of incorrect verification of the angiosarcoma of the ethmoidal labyrinth and frontal sinus in a 36-year-old man is presented. A feature of this case is the disregard of additional research methods without taking into account the unilateralism of the pathological process, which led to the wrong tactics of surgical treatment and the development of a relapse of the disease complicated by nasal liquorrhea. A thorough examination of the patient and an analysis of a series of computer tomograms of the paranasal sinuses suggested a diagnosis of malignancy.

Patients And Methods: The study included 331 patients aged 16-75 years with a verified diagnosis of chronic purulent otitis media, subject to surgical treatment. Depending on the diagnosis and method of surgical treatment, patients are divided into groups: patients with tubotympanic otitis media and epitympanic-antral otitis media after reconstructive sanitation otosurgery in comparison with the control group.
