The effect of tilapia skin gelatin properties on the characteristics of high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs) and the quality of 3D printing remains unidentified. In this work, HIPEs were constructed by gelatin with various properties that were obtained by heat treatment. The results indicated that the gelatin undergoes degradation gradually with an increase in heating intensity.

Few studies are concerned with the effect of the conjugat protein on the bioactivities of the abalone gonad polysaccharide (AGP). In this study, a series of treatments, including raw material (female and male) defatting, extraction temperature (25-121 °C), proteolysis, ultrafiltration, and ethanol precipitation, was conducted to investigate the role of the conjugate protein on AGP anticoagulant activity. All AGP extracts significantly prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and thrombin time (TT).

The development of catalytic technologies for sustainable energy conversion is a critical step toward addressing fossil fuel depletion and associated environmental challenges. High-efficiency catalysts are fundamental to advancing these technologies. Recently, field-effect facilitated catalytic processes have emerged as a promising approach in energy and environmental applications, including water splitting, CO reduction, nitrogen reduction, organic electrosynthesis, and biomass recycling.

Background: Mechanosensitive Piezo1 channel plays a key role in pulmonary hypertension (PH). However, the role of Piezo2 in PH remains unclear.

Methods: Endothelial cell (EC)-specific knockout (, Tek-Cre; ) rats and primarily cultured pulmonary microvascular ECs were used to determine the role of Piezo2 in PH.

CDK4/6i, the first-line drug for treating ERα-positive breast cancer, significantly improves clinical outcomes. However, CDK4/6i resistance often develops and remains a major hurdle, and the underlying mechanisms remain challenging to fully investigate. Here, we used Genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 library screening combined with single-cell sequencing to screen for molecules mediating CDK4/6i resistance and identified METTL14 as a determinant of CDK4/6i sensitivity.
