VE-cadherin is a major component of the cell adhesion machinery which provides integrity and plasticity of the barrier function of endothelial junctions. Here, we analyze whether ubiquitination of VE-cadherin is involved in the regulation of the endothelial barrier in inflammation in vivo. We show that histamine and thrombin stimulate ubiquitination of VE-cadherin in HUVEC, which is completely blocked if the two lysine residues K626 and K633 are replaced by arginine.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThis study reveals that Fc-enhanced anti-CTLA-4 harnesses novel mechanisms to overcome the limitations of conventional anti-CTLA-4, effectively treating poorly immunogenic and treatment-refractory cancers. Our findings support the development of a new class of immuno-oncology agents, capable of extending clinical benefit to patients with cancers resistant to current immunotherapies.

Method: Sixteen typically developing children (12 females, = 4 years; 4 months) completed the Diagnostic Evaluation of Articulation in Phonology Word Inconsistency Assessment subtest in JC and in English. Acoustic measures of voice onset time (VOT), VOT variability (VOT ), mean fundamental frequency (), and variability ( ) were extracted from each target word.
