A fully automated dual-column purification procedure for Zn from biological samples, designed for subsequent Zn isotopic analysis, is presented that utilizes the prepFAST MC™ system (Elemental Scientific), DGA resin (TrisKem International), and TK201 resin (TrisKem International). The procedure developed enables the unattended processing of 20 samples per day and is characterized by low and reproduceable blanks (< 1.5 ng), no carry-over or memory effect, high reusability (> 50 times), high Zn yields 100.

Fear of threatening contexts often generalizes to similar safe contexts, but few studies have investigated how contextual information influences cue generalization. In this study, we explored whether fear responses to cues would generalize more broadly in a threatening compared to a safe context. Forty-seven participants underwent a differential cue-in-context conditioning protocol followed by a generalization test, while we recorded psychophysiological and subjective responses.

Overactive error monitoring-as measured by the error-related negativity (ERN)-is a candidate transdiagnostic risk marker for internalizing psychopathology. Previous research reported associations of the ERN and individual differences in intolerance of uncertainty (IU). These findings imply associations between the subconstructs of IU (prospective and inhibitory IU) and the ERN, which we sought to replicate and extend by testing for causal influences that might elucidate specific mechanisms underlying this association.

Cyclosporin A (CSA) is a potent immunosuppressive agent in pharmacologic studies. However, there is evidence for side effects, specifically regarding vascular dysfunction. Its mode of action inducing endothelial cell toxicity is partially unclear, and a connection with an adverse outcome pathway (AOP) is not established yet.

This study investigates the role of positive cognitive reappraisal (PCR) flexibility and variability in mental health in response to real-life stressors among college students. We employed ecological momentary assessment and intervention through ReApp, a mobile app designed to train and promote PCR. We analyzed data from the intervention group of a randomized controlled trial with a total of 100 participants who used ReApp for three weeks.
