Purpose: Popliteal artery laceration is a devastating complication in total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Its anatomic position relative to the tibia has been studied using ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging. This is the first study performed in a laboratory using radiographic measurements to determine if increased flexion and subluxation of the knee increase the distance between the tibia and popliteal artery.

Maintaining balance involves the combination of sensory signals from the visual, vestibular, proprioceptive, and auditory systems. However, physical and biological constraints ensure that these signals are perceived slightly asynchronously. The brain only recognizes them as simultaneous when they occur within a period of time called the temporal binding window (TBW).

Introduction: Atraumatic ceramic femoral head fracture is an uncommon but overwhelming complication of total hip arthroplasty (THA). The complication rate is low, with few reports in the literature. It is critical to continue researching late fracture risk to mitigate these instances.

Purpose: A cornerstone of treatment for many cancers is the administration of platinum-based chemotherapies and/or ionizing radiation, which can be ototoxic. An accurate ototoxicity risk assessment would be useful for counseling, treatment planning, and survivorship follow-up in patients with cancer.

Methods: This systematic review evaluated the literature on predictive models for estimating a patient's risk for chemotherapy-related auditory injury to accelerate development of computational approaches for the clinical management of ototoxicity in cancer patients.

Purpose: Platinum-based chemotherapies used to treat many types of cancers are ototoxic. Ototoxicity management (OtoM) to mitigate the ototoxic outcomes of cancer survivors is recommended practice yet it is not a standard part of oncologic care. Although more than 10,000 patients each year are treated with platinum-based chemotherapies at the US Veterans Health Administration (VA), the current state of OtoM in VA is not well-defined.
