In recent concrete research, a novel category of coatings has emerged: polymers/nanoparticles blends. The efficacy of such coatings warrants extensive examination across various concrete mixtures, particularly those incorporating high-volume supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) to mitigate carbon footprints, an industry imperative. This study used three vulnerable concrete mixtures to assess the effectiveness of ethyl silicate and high-molecular-weight methyl methacrylate blended with 2.

Precise feedback assures precise control commands especially for assistive or rehabilitation devices. Biofeedback systems integrated with assistive or rehabilitative robotic exoskeletons tend to increase its performance and effectiveness. Therefore, there has been plenty of research in the field of biofeedback covering different aspects such as signal acquisition, conditioning, feature extraction and integration with the control system.

The desiccant air conditioning system has multiple advantages (e.g., no use of ozone-depleting refrigerants, highly efficient moisture control, easy regenerative integration) over traditional vapor-compression refrigeration systems, thus increasingly attracting more research interest.

Freshwater and energy are critical components for the growth and progress of societies. The scarcity of freshwater and rapid population growth, especially in remote countries, has led to an urgent need to develop desalination technologies in order to raise its productivity and reduce its energy consumption rates. Membrane distillation is one of the effective methods characterized by its high productivity, but its disadvantage by higher electricity consumption.

The lipocalin beta-lactoglobulin (BLG) is a major protein compound in cow's milk, and we detected it in cattle stable dust. BLG may be a novel player in the farm protective effect against atopic sensitization and hayfever. In previous studies, we demonstrated that only the ligand-filled holo-form of BLG prevented sensitization to itself.
