Between 2010 and 2021, 199 herring gull serum samples were collected from Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie, including two Areas of Concern: Saginaw Bay and the River Raisin. They were analyzed for 21 polybrominated diphenyl ether congeners, 10 non-PBDE flame retardants, 85 polychlorinated biphenyls, 17 legacy organochlorine pesticides, and 36 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. ΣPFAS, ΣPCB, ΣPBDE, and ΣPesticide concentrations comprised 41-74%, 17-50%, 3-4%, and 5-9% of the total concentration, respectively.

As part of the Integrated Atmospheric Deposition Network, precipitation ( = 207) and air ( = 60) from five sites and water samples ( = 87) from all five Great Lakes were collected in 2021-2023 and analyzed for 41 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). These measurements were combined with other available data to estimate the mass budget for four representative compounds, PFBA, PFBS, PFOS, and PFOA for the basin. The median ΣPFAS concentrations in precipitation across the five sites ranged between 2.

Objective: To report the feasibility of laparoscopic cytoreduction surgery for primary and recurrent ovarian cancer in a select group of patients.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of patients with FIGO stage IIIA-IV advanced ovarian cancer who underwent laparoscopic primary debulking surgery (PDS), interval debulking surgery (IDS), or secondary debulking surgery (SDS) between June 2008 and January 2020. The primary endpoint was achieving optimal cytoreduction, defined as residual tumor less than 1 cm.
