Background: The effect of pregnancy on individuals with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is not well investigated.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of pregnancy on all-cause mortality and clinical outcomes among individuals with HCM.

Methods: Using the TriNetX research network, we identified individuals within reproductive age (≥18-45 years) with a diagnosis of HCM between 2012 and 2022 (n = 10,936).

Plant genetic engineering methods are critical for food security and biofuel production and to enable molecular farming. Here, we elucidated how polymeric high aspect ratio nanocarriers can enable DNA delivery to plants and transient expression. We demonstrated that a nanocarrier with 20 nm width, 80 nm length, and a polymer-to-DNA ratio of N/P = 3.

MoeA, also known as gephyrin in higher eukaryotes, is an enzyme essential for molybdenum cofactor (Moco) biosynthesis and involved in GABA and GlyR receptor clustering at the synapse in animals. We recently discovered that Actinobacteria have a repurposed version of MoeA (Glp) linked to bacterial cell division. Since MoeA exists in all domains of life, our study explores how it gained multifunctionality over time.

This study aimed to investigate the association between estimated dietary intake of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) and human sperm quality. This study cross-sectionally assessed the associations between estimated dietary intake of PCDD/Fs and sperm quality parameters in 200 participants aged 18-40 years from the Led-Fertyl study. Linear regression models, accounting for potential confounding variables, were employed to evaluate the relationships.
