[Protein component in therapeutic effect of electric current].

Literature data and authors' own observation on the role of albumin in realization of curative effect of electric current are summarized in the article. Electric current action on albumin leads to physical and chemical changes (conformational ones, membrane process are also involved, development of free forms of biologically active substances) and biochemical changes (enzymes activity, lipid peroxidation). It furthers the normalization of function of body organs and systems.

[Blood plasma luminescence in ischemic heart disease].

Low-temperature spectra were measured of blood plasma fluorescence and phosphorescence in patients with ischemic heart disease. It has been shown that structure of radiation spectra depends upon severity of illness and use of ultra-violet radiation of blood as a therapeutic procedure. It is suggested that radiational processes in blood plasma might be caused by luminescence of proteins, lipoproteins and radicals of blood plasma.

Certain biophysical properties of Ukrain.

Ukrain was found to be relatively resistant in vitro to mean intensity radiation over the whole UV range. Of the seven peaks in the absorption spectrum of Ukraine those at 210 and 230 nm are conspicuous in the spectrum of the plasma of colorectal patients injected the previous day with this drug.

[The possibilities for correcting the dysbacteriosis occurring in the prolonged external diversion of bile].

The possibility to correct postoperative dysbacteriosis in patients, who had their operation been completed with external drainage of the common bile duct, was studied. Resulting from the use of Normaze preparation in combination with Bifidumbacterin adsorbed on SKN carbon sorbent, the composition of intestinal microflora has restored, bile structure improved.
