[Association of blood serum biochemical markers with neurologic syndromes in the exacerbation of dorsolumbar osteochondrosis].

The content of C-reactive albumin (CRA) and endothelin-1 in patients with neurologic syndromes of dorsolumbar osteochondrosis (lumbodynia, lumboischialgia, lumbosacral radiculopathy) during exacerbation was investigated. CRA concentration in blood serum was determined by a highly sensitive quantitative method (in the interval from 0.1 g/l), based on the reaction of immunoprecipitation.

[The role of nonparenchymal liver cells in activating protein synthesis in hepatocytes upon stimulating the mononuclear phagocyte system with lipopolysaccharide].

It has been found that the rate of hepatocyte protein synthesis depends on the functional state of nonparenchymal liver cells (NPC), of Kupffer cells, in particular. When Kupffer cells were stimulated by intravenously injected lipopolysaccharide (LPS), zymosan or dextran sulfate, the rate of [14C]leucine incorporation into hepatic proteins increased 1.5-2-fold.

[Activation of protein biosynthesis in rat organs and tissues during stimulation of the mononuclear phagocyte system with prodigiosan].

As shown earlier, the mononuclear phagocyte system (MPS) plays an important role in regulation of protein synthesis in different rat tissues. In vivo stimulation of MPS by lipopolysaccharide from Bacillus prodigiosum caused a significant increase of protein synthesis in the liver, lungs, adrenal glands, thymus, spleen and bone marrow. The results obtained suggest that MPS is involved in the regulation of tissue regenerative process at the level of physiological state.
