Perioperative stress in pediatric patients is often difficult to assess via interviews; thus, an objective measure to assess perioperative stress is needed. To visualize perioperative stress, we observed autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity, circulatory dynamics, and psychological status in pediatric patients undergoing alveolar bone grafting under general anesthesia. This prospective observational study included 40 patients aged 8-12 years who were scheduled for alveolar bone grafting in our hospital.

Objectives: Because excess potassium (K) leakage occurs during renal tubular injury caused by L-AMB, measuring the decrease in rate of serum K concentration might be more useful to assess the renal impact of L-AMB than hypokalaemia identified from a one-point measurement. The effects of a decrease in K concentration and duration of hypokalaemia on AKI were investigated.
Background: This study aimed to clarify the efficacy and safety of minimally invasive transabdominal surgery (MIS) with transperineal minimal invasive surgery (tpMIS) for sacrectomy in advanced primary and recurrent pelvic malignancies.
Methods: Using a prospectively collected database, we retrospectively analyzed the clinical, surgical, and pathological outcomes of MIS with tpMIS for sacrectomies. Surgery was performed between February 2019 and May 2023.
Background And Aims: Crohn's disease (CD)-associated intestinal cancers are characterized by their high incidence, particularly at the anorectal site in the Japanese population. Accumulating evidence revealed that younger-onset sporadic colorectal cancer may exhibit unique biological features. To the best of our knowledge, few previous articles reported clinicopathological features in patients with CD-associated anorectal cancer (CDAAC).
