Introduction: End-stage kidney disease patients face a critical decision regarding kidney replacement therapy options, which include kidney transplantation, hemodialysis, or peritoneal dialysis (PD). This study aims to evaluate the impact of nurse-led education (NE) alone vs. NE combined with peer support on the patients' decision over PD treatment in chronic kidney disease patients.

We aimed to evaluate the diurnal changes of free thyroid hormones and serum TSH levels in patients with end-stage renal failure (ESRF) whose thyroidal functions are at normal ranges.
Methods: Thirty hemodialysis patients with chronic renal failure and without a known thyroidal disease who are over 18 and 35 healthy individuals were included.
The BTB domain is an oligomerization domain found in over 300 proteins encoded in the human genome. In the family of BTB domain and zinc finger-containing (ZBTB) transcription factors, 49 members share the same protein architecture. The N-terminal BTB domain is structurally conserved among the family members and serves as the dimerization site, whereas the C-terminal zinc finger motifs mediate DNA binding.

Twenty-seven healthy female dogs undergoing ovariohysterectomy were randomly divided into three groups as before surgery group (BSG, n = 7) received butorphanol 30 min before preanesthetic administration, after surgery group (ASG, n = 10) received butorphanol during the last skin suture and the control group (CG, n = 10) received no butorphanol. Pain was assessed with short form of the Glasgow composite pain scale (CMPS-SF).

After ovariohysterectomy, the cats were grouped according to pregnancy stages and ovarian/placental endocrine activity: group I (n = 3, 24−29 days), II (n = 8, 32−40 days), III (n = 4, 41−46 days), IV (n = 6, 53−61 days) and according to cycle stages: V (n = 6, interestrus) and VI (n = 6, estrus). Serum progesterone- and AMH-concentration was measured.
