[Respiratory papillomatosis--new methods of treatment].

Background: Respiratory papillomatosis is caused by HPV. The most common location in head and neck is larynx, palatine tonsils and arches of palate, uvula and mucosa oral and nasal cavity. The disease is benign but recurrent.

[Removing illness changes related with ORL in laser-clinic in 2005].

Introduction: For 13 years now we use neodine - laser in our clinic. In 2005 we treated 463 patients using this laser with local anesthesia. There are 47 cases presented in article (28 women and 19 men) from who pieces of nasal cavity, oral cavity or throat were taken or illness changes have been curing.

[Monitoring of a patient with nasal papilloma].

Papilloma of the nose requires radical, surgical procedure, because may occur of the recurrences and metaplasia. The lateral rhinotomy is the most recommended technique as good total and radical for excision of the tumor. We present 25 cases of papilloma treated in the Otolaryngological Department in Warsaw.

[Treatment of a patient with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome superimposed on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease].

History of a middle aged obese male, presenting with severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is described. Provisionally patient was started on CPAP and long-term domiciliary oxygen therapy (LTOT). OSA was successfully treated by surgical repair of nasal patency and partial uvulectomy.
