Study of blood rheological parameters and NO in coronary artery disease patients with and without collaterals.

Background: In coronary artery disease (CAD), an alternative way of improvement of blood circulation in the ischemic area of the myocardium is coronary collateral circulation. Our study aimed to investigate the rheological parameters of blood and nitric oxide (NO) content in patients with various degrees of collateral development and the likelihood of the influence of blood fluidity on collateral angiogenesis.

Methods: We studied patients with stable CAD who underwent elective coronary angiography and a control group with the same mean age.

Complex study of Cancer Morbidity and Inflammatory Markers, Presented in the Blood Serum of the Rural Population of Sachkhere District of Georgia.

Aim: The purpose of the study was to compare the morbidity from cancer (expressed as incidence) to the average levels of blood serum inflammatory markers in the population of the Sachkhere region (Georgia).

Methods: healthy residents of the Sachkhere district were examined. In the blood serum samples of patients, the cytokines (IL-1α, IL-10, TGF-β, IL-12, IL-17, TNF-α, IL-6) and NOx content, as well as the total antioxidant activity of the non-enzymatic system (TAA) were determined; using light microscopy, buccal micronuclei (MnB) of epithelial cells of the oral mucosa, as indicators of chromosomal disorders, were studied.

PECULIARITIES OF THE WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT HEALTH EFFECTS IN THE MUNICIPAL TRANSPORTATION EMPLOYEES.

The aim of the study was to assess the health status of municipal transportation employees. A comprehensive study of the health condition of the employees, in particular, bus drivers and the administrative staff of the transportation company has been carried out. The study participants were divided into two groups - main and control.

BAYESIAN MODELLING AND INFERENCE OF MIXTURES OF DISTRIBUTIONS OF MICRONUCLEAR BUCCAL CELLS IN THE POPULATION OF SACHKHERE DISTRICT'S VILLAGES.

Malignant tumors are one of the leading courses of mortality in the world, and it is believed that 19% of malignant tumors are associated with environmental risk factors. The aim of the study was to establish the spectrum of distributions of an informative biomarker of the unfavorable (genotoxic) effect of the external environment on the body by determining the level of micronuclei (LMN) in buccal epithelium cells in populations of villages of the Sachkhera region (Georgia). In the inhabitants of the Sachkhere district (both sexes, 50-65 years old) living in the villages of Sareki, Sairkhe, and Chorvila, LMN was determined in the cells of the buccal epithelium.

HYGIENIC ASSESSMENT OF WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENTAL AIR POLLUTION OF TBILISI CITY MUNICIPAL TRANSPORT AND THEIR SERVICES.

The study aim was to observe the working conditions of individuals working on municipal transport, check the levels of dust and toxicity, and review from the hygienic point of view. The levels of dust and chemical pollutants in the working environment of Tbilisi municipal transport workers were examined. Methods used in hygienic practice were applied to analyze air samples.
