Purpose: To report the clinical presentation, treatment course, and outcome of a case of bilateral frosted branch angiitis (FBA) and neuroretinitis associated with acute Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection in a pediatric patient with Turner Syndrome.
Methods: Case report with multimodal ocular imaging and extensive systemic workup.
Results: A 16-year-old female with Turner syndrome presented with acute bilateral vision loss, hearing loss, and ataxia.
Background: Amyloid PET imaging is a promising biomarker to track the accumulation of parenchymal amyloid beta (Aβ) deposits in the brain. Recent large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS) reported common risk factors associated with amyloidosis, suggesting that this endophenotype is driven by genetic variants. We hypothesized that genes with multiple variants with deleterious effect are associated with Aβ accumulation.

Background: In the US, Women, especially Black and Latina women living in disadvantaged environments, are disproportionally affected by HIV. Women living with HIV (WLHIV) have higher rates of suboptimal antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence, and detectable viral load (VL). Experiences of intersectional poverty, HIV, gender, and racial stigmas may increase the rates of detectable VL through suboptimal ART adherence.
