The recent outbreak of lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) in the wetland areas of Bangladesh presents a significant concern for both animal health and regional biosecurity. Epidemiological investigations into nine major outbreaks in the wetland areas revealed distinctive clinical symptoms in affected cattle, including elevated body temperature, excessive salivation, and the presence of skin nodules. Histopathological examination unveiled larger nodules compared to previous outbreaks, along with signs of secondary infection.

These counties differed in their levels of development. While counties such as Nairobi and Kiambu led in social and economic indicators, others such as Turkana, Mandera and Wajir were at the bottom of the list.

In this regard, combinatorial interventions enable simultaneously targeting various neoplastic pathways to eradicate multiple tumorigenic clones. Therefore, we evaluated the effects of the epigenetic-modifying compounds phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC) and withaferin A (WA) alone and in combination on cancer hallmarks and miRNome profiles of breast cancer (BC) cells in addition to their impact on multiple epigenetic regulatory pathways.

Methods: This study used pooled individual data from baseline questionnaires in 11 prospective cohorts (baseline years, 1958-2015) in the Asia Cohort Consortium.
Objective: We study the changes in morphology of the photoplethysmography (PPG) signals-acquired from a select group of South Asian origin-through a low-cost PPG sensor, and correlate it with healthy aging which allows us to reliably estimate the vascular age and chronological age of a healthy person as well as the age group he/she belongs to.
Methods: Raw infrared PPG data is collected from the finger-tip of 173 appar- ently healthy subjects, aged 3-61 years, via a non-invasive low- cost MAX30102 PPG sensor. In addition, the following metadata is recorded for each subject: age, gender, height, weight, family history of cardiac disease, smoking history, vitals (heart rate and SpO2).
