[Extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma of the parapharyngeal space: a case report].

Extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma is a malignant tumour most often found in children and adolescents, but rarely in the cervicofacial region. When it affects the parapharyngeal space, diagnosis is often delayed, resulting in poor prognosis. We here report the clinical case of a 37-year-old female patient admitted to the emergency department with inspiratory dyspnea, asthenia and anorexia.

Alkaloid extract of seed Citrullus colocynthis as novel green inhibitor for mild steel corrosion in one molar HCl acid solution: DFT and MC/MD approaches.

The study was designed to explore the corrosion prevention capabilities of Citrullus colocynthis seeds alkaloid-rich extract (CSEA) on MS in a 1 M HCl environment by use of electrochemical and theoretical methods. Notably, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization were used to probe the impact of immersion time and temperature. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and spanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to confirm the presence of a protective layer on the substrate surface.

Investigating the Inhibitory Properties of Extract against Copper Corrosion in 0.5 M HSO: Combining Quantum (Density Functional Theory Calculation-Monte Carlo Simulation) and Electrochemical-Surface Studies.

The study investigates the potential of (EO) as a sustainable and eco-friendly inhibitor of copper corrosion in a 0.5 M sulfuric acid medium. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis shows that the effectiveness of corrosion inhibition rises with increasing inhibitor concentrations, reaching 94% with the application of 2 g/L of EO, and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) studies reveal that EO functions as a mixed-type corrosion inhibitor.

Effect of phosphogypsum adding on setting kinetics and mechanical strength of geopolymers based on metakaolin or fly ash matrices.

Our study aims to highlight the effects of the addition of phosphogypsum on certain fresh and hardened characteristics of geopolymer matrices based on metakaolin or fly ash. In the fresh state, workability and setting were studied by rheology and by the electrical conductivity measurement. The hardened state was characterized by XRD, DTA, SEM, and compressive strength measurement.
