Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigates how Echinacoside protects mice from liver toxicity caused by acetaminophen, using N-Acetyl Cysteine as a comparison treatment.
  • - After administering these substances for a week, researchers measured various liver damage indicators, including enzyme levels and oxidative stress outcomes, confirming that acetaminophen increased liver harm.
  • - Echinacoside was found to reduce liver damage in a dose-dependent manner, significantly improving liver health measures, decreasing inflammation, and inhibiting harmful enzyme expressions, especially at a dose of 100 mg/kg.

Gambogic acid (GA), a natural product with a xanthone structure, has a broad range of anti-proliferative effects on cancer cell lines. We evaluated GA for its cytotoxic effects on T98G glioblastoma cells. GA exhibited potent anti-proliferative activity and induced apoptosis in T98G glioblastoma cells in a dose-dependent manner.

This paper addresses the problem of detecting and localizing abnormal activities in crowded scenes. A spatiotemporal Laplacian eigenmap method is proposed to extract different crowd activities from videos. This is achieved by learning the spatial and temporal variations of local motions in an embedded space.
