Objective: Computed tomography (CT) is superior to plain radiography for evaluating ankle syndesmosis, but anatomical variations can affect the measurements. This study aimed to assess the radiologic parameters of the incisura fibularis and the factors that could affect these parameters.
Materials And Methods: Lower-extremity CT angiography images were used to evaluate the morphology of the incisura fibularis, anterior and posterior tibiofibular distance, longitudinal and transverse length of the distal fibula, length and depth of the incisura fibularis notch, tibiofibular clear space, tibiofibular overlap, and fibular rotation.
Background: Newborns with critical congenital heart disease (CCHD) with increased pulmonary blood flow (PBF) are at high risk for congestive heart failure. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the presence and degree of pulmonary edema in newborns with CCHD using lung ultrasound (LUS) during the perioperative period.
Methods: Prospective clinical trial, 44 newborn patients with CCHD were evaluated in this prospective clinical trial.
Aims: Patients with adrenal incidentaloma (AI) are at increased risk of impaired glucose metabolism, which is known to be associated with pancreatosteatosis (PS). We aimed to investigate the risk of developing dysglycemia for patients with non-functioning AI (NFAI) versus those without, and whether the presence of PS predicts future dysglycemia in patients with NFAI.
Method: In 80 patients with NFAI and 127 controls matched for age, sex, and body mass index, changes in fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) were evaluated at 2 years.
Critical congenital heart disease (CCHD) is one of the leading causes of neonatal and infant mortality. We aimed to elucidate the epidemiology, spectrum, and outcome of neonatal CCHD in Türkiye. This was a multicenter epidemiological study of neonates with CCHD conducted from October 2021 to November 2022 at national tertiary health centers.
