Excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) during cryopreservation and post-thawing affects sperm quality and subsequent fertilizing capacity. Nanoparticles (NPs) with antioxidative properties can improve sperm function and male fertility. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of 100 µM ρ-coumaric acid (ρ-CA), 0.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study found that 38.7% of hospitalized patients in Iran reported mental distress, with a higher prevalence in males (52.0%) compared to females (34.0%) and significant variations based on job status and hospital wards.
  • - Data was collected using the General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12), with scores of 4 or higher designated as "mentally distressed," revealing that retired patients faced the highest rates of distress at 64.7%.
  • - The results emphasize the necessity for combining mental health evaluations with medical care to enhance treatment outcomes and quality of life for hospitalized patients experiencing mental distress.

Background And Objectives: Diazinon (DZN) is a cholinesterase inhibitor widely used to relieve agricultural pests and upgrade the productivity of crops. Resveratrol (Res), as a phenolic plant compound, has a protective role against free radicals. This study intended to evaluate the impacts of Res on homeostatic disturbances induced by DZN in rats.

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations can reduce our need for experimental tests and provide detailed insight into the chemical reactions and binding kinetics. There are two challenges while dealing with MD simulations: one is the time and length scale limitations, and the latter is efficiently processing the massive amount of data resulting from the MD simulations and generating the proper reaction rates. In this work, we evaluated the use of regression machine learning (ML) methods to solve these two challenges by developing a framework for ethanol adsorption on an Aluminium (Al) slab.

Background: International Medical Graduates (IMG) are an essential part of the international physician workforce, and exploring the predictors of success and failure for IMGs could help inform international and national physician labour workforce selection and planning. The objective of this study was to explore predictors for success for selection of IMGs into high stakes postgraduate training positions and practice and not necessarily for informing IMGs.

Methods: We searched 11 databases, including Medline, Embase and LILACS, from inception to February 2022 for studies that explored the predictors of success and failure in IMGs.
