A novel heteropolysaccharide, named cress water soluble polysaccharide (CWSP), was purified from seeds. Antioxidant activities and functional properties were characterized thermally using thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) results of CWSP were evaluated. The total antioxidant capacity and the metal chelating activities of CWSP at 3 mg/ml were equivalent to 116.

Adherence to medical treatment in primary open angle glaucoma is key to the success of the treatment. Most of the work show that glaucoma patients are poor observant. Poor adherence is multifactorial.

An indirect method for the characterization of locally reacting liners.

An indirect technique for educing the homogenized acoustic impedance of a liner mounted on the wall of a barrel is presented. It is based on measurements and computational simulations of the multimodal scattering matrix of this lined duct. Measurements are performed with a multisource method and the use of an anechoic duct termination.

A first psychotic episode includes a wide range of disorders with different outcomes: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizophreniform disorder, schizoaffective disorder, drug-induced psychosis, brief reactive psychosis, organic psychoses and delusional disorder. The course and outcome of a first psychotic episode is greatly dependent on its initial management. Major clinical, etiopathogenic and therapeutic advances have been achieved in this field and have allowed specific management strategies to be adopted.
