While autonomic dysregulation and repolarization abnormalities are observed in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), their relationship remains unclear. We aimed to measure skin sympathetic nerve activity (SKNA), a novel method to estimate stellate ganglion nerve activity, and investigate its association with electrocardiogram (ECG) alterations after SAH. We recorded a total of 179 SKNA data from SAH patients at three distinct phases and compared them with 20 data from controls.

Aim: We aimed to clarify the degree and factors associated with low-density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol treatment target attainment among patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) using the Hokuriku-plus FH registry.

Methods: The Hokuriku-plus FH registry (UMIN000038210) was a prospective, observational, multicenter cohort study that enrolled consecutive patients with FH who fulfilled the clinical criteria for FH in Japan from 37 participating hospitals, mostly in the Hokuriku region, from April 2020 to March 2024. This registry collects data on clinical parameters, including lipid levels, physical findings, genetic background, and clinical events.

Objective digital measurement of gamblers visiting gambling venues is conducted using cashless cards and facial recognition systems, but these methods are confined within a single gambling venue. Hence, we propose an objective digital measurement method using a transformer, a state-of-the-art machine learning approach, to detect total gambling venue visitations for gamblers who visit multiple gambling venues using sounds in gamblers' environments. We sampled gambling and nongambling event datasets from websites to create a gambling play classifier.

Fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) is highly expressed in adipocytes. Lipolysis, caused by an elevated adrenergic input, has been suggested to contribute to elevated serum FABP4 levels in patients with cardiovascular diseases.
