Article Synopsis
  • * In a study of 45 ATTRv patients, NfL levels were significantly higher in symptomatic patients compared to asymptomatic carriers and controls, and there was a correlation between NfL levels and NCS parameters, particularly with CMAP and SNAP amplitudes, which indicate nerve damage.
  • * NfL levels were notably elevated in patients who had undetectable amplitudes due to severe neuropathy and decreased with treatment by patisiran, suggesting that

Duplicate testes lined in series were observed in the right scrotum of a 6-week-old Sprague-Dawley rat in a single-dose toxicity study. Of the two right testicles, one was spherical and less than half the size of a normal testis. The other was oval-shaped, slightly smaller than a normal testis, and possessed clear, tortuous blood vessels similar to those of a normal testis.

cAMP is a universal second messenger regulated by various upstream pathways including Ca and G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). To decipher in vivo cAMP dynamics, we rationally designed cAMPinG1, a sensitive genetically encoded green cAMP indicator that outperformed its predecessors in both dynamic range and cAMP affinity. Two-photon cAMPinG1 imaging detected cAMP transients in the somata and dendritic spines of neurons in the mouse visual cortex on the order of tens of seconds.
