In this study, by innovative combining the unique characteristics of Cu-based metal-organic framework (MOF) with the versatile attributes of saccharides (i.e., heparin, Hep), a promising approach is established for active and passive targeting DDS, Cu-MOF/Hep, with a pH-controlled release profile and enhanced drug efficacy.

While the unconventional bonding found in mechanically interlocked molecules gives rise to unique expressions of stereochemistry, the exploration of their stereoisomers is still in its infancy. Sequence isomerism, characterized by variations in the ordering of mechanically interlocked components in catenanes and rotaxanes, mirrors the sequence variations found in biological macromolecules.

The present study aims to evaluate the associations between TBM indices with executive functions, memory, language, and visuospatial abilities and the value of TBM in the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) among individuals with Alzheimer's disease continuum and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) from Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI).
Methods: The authors used ADNI-memory (ADNI-MEM), ADNI-executive functions (ADNI-EF), ADNI-language (ADNI-LAN), and ADNI-visuospatial (ADNI-VS) composite scores.

In this work, neutron spectra are unfolded using artificial neural networks (ANNs). The neutron response of the NE213 scintillator detector, characterized by the pulse height distribution, is calculated to obtain the necessary data for unfolding the energy spectrum. This is achieved using both analytical response functions and response functions generated by the MCNPX-PHOTRACK code.

The primary step in forensic odontological analysis is sex determination. The present study is one of the few studies that evaluated the accuracy of the combination of canine tooth root length and crown measurements for sex determination. The study sample comprised 196 cone-be am computed tomographic scans of individuals aged 20-80 years distributed in five age categories: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ years old.
