Primary Cerebral Venous Thrombosis in a Patient with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura.

Introduction: Immune thrombocytopenic purpura is an autoimmune hematological disorder characterized by low platelet level due to its destruction through autoimmune antibodies. Cerebral venous thrombosis is a serious condition defined by a thrombosis in the cerebral venous sinuses that occurs mostly in the presence of a hypercoagulable state. Hemorrhage and thrombosis are processes with a paradoxical etiology; thus, the association between these two conditions seems to be extremely rare.

Migraine and tension-type headache among undergraduate medical, dental and pharmaceutical students of University of Aleppo: a cross-sectional study.

Introduction: Headache disorders are among the most common 10 causes of disability worldwide according to the global burden of disease survey 2010. Headache is also wildly common among universities students when compared with other populations. The purpose of this study is to assess headache prevalence among Aleppo University medical, dental and pharmaceutical undergraduate students.

A Rare Association between Myasthenia Gravis and a Growth Hormone Secreting Pituitary Macroadenoma: A Single Case Report.

Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease. Although it is well known that patients with myasthenia gravis have a higher incidence of other autoimmune disorders, however, its association with pituitary adenomas is extremely rare. We believe that our case represents the 8 of this association and the 2 case involving a GH-secreting adenoma.

Status epilepticus following local anesthesia in a previously healthy adult.

Background: Local anesthesia could result in lethal complications if injected in highly vascularized area. Dentist should take care to avoid such complications.

Case Presentation: We present a case of 15 year old girl with a coma following convulsive status epilepticus which developed after inferior alveolar nerve blockade by a dentist.
