Co-production is expected to lead to more efficient and effective services. In response, this study aims to describe and understand the construction of effectiveness and the manifestation of customer orientation among the actors involved in the service process of lifestyle guidance. A qualitative narrative study was designed, and data were collected through the thematic interviews (n = 9) with the management, employees and customers of a Finnish public healthcare and social welfare organisation.

In quantitative photoacoustic tomography, the optical parameters of a target, most importantly the concentrations of chromophores such as deoxygenated and oxygenated hemoglobin, are estimated from photoacoustic data measured on the boundary of the target. In this work, a numerical approximation of a forward model for spectral quantitative photoacoustic tomography is constructed by utilizing the diffusion approximation for light propagation, the acoustic wave equation for ultrasound propagation, and spectral models of optical absorption and scattering to describe the wavelength dependence of the optical parameters. The related inverse problem is approached in the framework of Bayesian inverse problems.

We used optical flow analysis of ultra-fast functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data to investigate the velocity characteristics of respiratory brain impulse propagation in patients with focal epilepsy treated with antiseizure medication (ASM) (medicated patients with focal epilepsy; ME, n = 23), drug-naïve patients with at least one seizure (DN, n = 19) and matched healthy control subjects (HC, n = 75). We detected in the two patient groups (ME and DN) several significant alterations in the respiratory brain pulsation propagation velocity, which showed a bidirectional change dominated by a reduction in speed.

In this article, we examine the potential suitability of wood-based materials, such as cardboard and veneer, as substrate materials for biodegradable solutions instead of the commonly used glass-fiber reinforced epoxy. Our substrate materials were coated with fire retardant materials for improved fire resistance and screen printed with conductive silver ink.
