Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to assess how the method of placement and polymerization of composite materials affects the gap between dentin and the restoration in teeth.
  • - Thirty extracted molar teeth were filled using three different techniques (bulk, incremental, pin) and various light polymerization methods, after which gaps were measured and statistically analyzed.
  • - Results showed that using a modified incremental technique with a transparent glass pin led to better marginal adaptation and less leakage compared to the other methods, potentially improving the longevity of dental restorations.

The aim of this study was to analyse the interfacial micromorphology of total-etch adhesives and dentin structures different locations by using SEM. Standardized cylindrical cavities (3mm in diameter, 2mm deep) with all margins in dentin were prepared on occlusal and buccal surfaces of twenty extracted human third molars. A total-etch dentin adhesive system and a light-cure flowable composite (Filtek Ultimate Flowable, 3M ESPE, St.

Traumatic dental injuries usually occur among children and adolescents, with maxillary central incisors as the most often affected teeth. Complicated crown-root fractures are particularly challenging for esthetic and functional rehabilitation and often require a multidisciplinary approach. A 21-year-old male patient came to the Dental Clinic due to fractured maxillary incisors caused by trauma during a sporting activity.

As the Ti-Mn phase diagram is part of numerous ternary and higher order systems of technological importance, the present paper defines phase relations which have been experimentally established throughout this work from 800 °C to the melting range based on Differential Thermal Analyses (DTA), X-ray powder diffraction, metallography and Electron Probe Micro Analysis (EPMA) techniques on ∼50 alloys, which were prepared by arc melting or high frequency melting under high purity argon starting from freshly cleaned metal ingots. Novel compounds were identified and reaction isotherms were redefined accordingly. In the Ti-rich region a novel compound TiMn was detected, sandwiched between the known phases: TiMn1-x (∼45 at% Mn) and TiMn1+x (∼55 at% Mn).

Objective: In this study we analyze viscoelastic properties of three flowable (Wave, Wave MV, Wave HV) and one universal hybrid resin (Ice) composites, prior to setting. We developed a mathematical model containing fractional derivatives in order to describe their properties.

Methods: Isothermal experimental study was conducted on a rheometer with parallel plates.
