Microwave Surface and Lamb Waves in a Thin Diamond Plate: Experimental and Theoretical Investigation.

Microwave surface and Lamb waves in a multilayered piezoelectric "Al-IDT/(AlSc)N/(001)[110] diamond" structure designed as a SAW resonator were studied using both the experimental and modeling methods. In this structure, it is possible to generate Rayleigh, surface horizontal (SH) and Lamb waves simultaneously. The successful excitation of Lamb waves at operating frequencies up to 20 GHz has been obtained.

The network form of implementation of educational programs in health care or network form of education, is an innovative approach to educational process that is actively applied in medical and adjacent universities to improve quality of future specialists training. This approach implies cooperation of various educational and scientific institutions, such as universities, research institutes, medical organizations, as well as application of electronic resources and remote technologies. The article considers legislative regulation of implementation of online form of educational programs and application of online form of education in the field of health care in the Russian Federation.

A Readmission Risk Assessment Tool Is Not Predictive of 90-Day Readmission After Total Joint Arthroplasty at an Urban Tertiary Referral Hospital.

Introduction: Readmission within 90 days of total joint arthroplasty (TJA) via an emergency department (ED) encounter represents a significant economic burden to the healthcare system. We aimed to determine the utility of a previously described readmission risk assessment tool (RRAT) in predicting readmission after presentation to the ED within 90 days of primary TJA.

Methods: At a single academic tertiary referral medical center, a retrospective chart review was used to collect demographic data, surgery type, medical history, reason for presentation in the ED, and ED disposition for the 1,576 patients who underwent TJA between April 1, 2016, and December 31, 2018.

Tandem Deacetalization-Knoevenagel Condensation Reactions for the Synthesis of Benzylidene Malononitrile Using Ruthenium(II) Cymene Complexes.

In this study, we report the synthesis and full characterization of five novel ruthenium(II) cymene complexes with the general formula [Ru(cym)(L')Cl], featuring N,O- and N,N-coordinating pyrazolone-based hydrazone ligands. We have characterized these complexes using single X-ray crystallography, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), elemental analysis, and Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectroscopy (ESI-MS). Crystallographic analysis confirmed that all of the complexes have a similar type of half-sandwich, pseudo-octahedral "three-legged piano-stool" geometry where the cymene moiety displays the typical η-coordination mode and the hydrazone ligands coordinate to the Ru(II) center in a bidentate fashion.
