Biochar (BC) is a carbon-rich material created from biomass pyrolysis. It is an efficient addition for reducing ammonia inhibition due to its large specific surface area, porosity, conductivity, redox characteristics, and functional groups making it favorable for both soil and water remediation. The efficacy of biochar on the N cycle is associated with biochar properties which are mainly affected by feedstock type and pyrolysis condition.

Genome sequence of prodigiosin-producing and tetracycline-resistant (IFSMLMEK1), identified from a freshwater bivalve .

We report the genome sequence of a tetracycline-resistant , IFSMLMEK1, isolated from the freshwater bivalve . The genome (5,185,668 bp, G+C% 59.65) reveals antibiotic resistance determinants, including tetracycline efflux genes, providing valuable insights into prodigiosin production and tetracycline resistance in environmental isolates.

SnS integrated P-doped g-CN with advanced photocatalytic efficiency towards organic pollutants decontamination.

In this study, the P doping and SnS deposition was controlled to get SnS integrated P-doped g-CN photocatalysts. The prepared photocatalysts were analyzed by XRD, FESEM, HRTEM, PL, UV-DRS, XPS, and Zeta potential emphasizing their crystalline structures, morphological characteristics, charge carrier recombination, band gap energies, chemical compositions, and surface charge. These results confirmed successful P doping by substituting C and formation of heterojunction with SnS.
