Carbon dots doped with metals and non-metals have gained much popularity due to the enhancement in their optical and electronic properties. In this study, polyethyleneimine-functionalized transition metal (nickel or copper) doped carbon dots (CD, NiCD and CuCD) were synthesized through hydrothermal method. The carbon dots exhibited a blue fluorescence at 470 nm when excited at 350 nm.

We discuss the clinical presentation, diagnostic dilemma and management in a 54-year-old male human immunodeficiency virus-positive patient with oral ulceration clinically resembling squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
Patient Concerns: The patient had severe oral ulceration with pain and difficulty eating food.
A 34-year-old male, with no history of known previous disease, employed at a ginger farm in South India, presented with a four-day history of high-grade fever and headache. Initially, he received symptomatic treatment but was referred due to hypotension and persistent fever. Investigations showed leucocytosis, thrombocytopenia, abnormal liver function tests, renal dysfunction, and elevated C-reactive protein.

This novel technique focuses on stabilisation of the fracture fragments using vicryl, which has an added advantage to conventional plating and wiring. This study aimed on a novel cost-effective technique of stabilising the paediatric mandibular fracture using 2-0 resorbable polyglactin 910 suture with minimal trauma to tooth buds and bone and adequate stability.

Concept of designing the single chemical entity acting on two or more targets of interest has potential advantage in AD therapy. In line with this, rational design and synthesis of frame work of hybrids bearing 2,3-disubstituted quinazolinone, vanillin and α-amino phosphonate scaffolds (5a─v) were carried out.
