CRISPR-interference (CRISPRi), a highly effective method for silencing genes in mammalian cells, employs an enzymatically dead form of Cas9 (dCas9) complexed with one or more guide RNAs (gRNAs) with 20 nucleotides (nt) of complementarity to transcription initiation sites of target genes. Such gRNA/dCas9 complexes bind to DNA, impeding transcription of the targeted locus. Harnessing the power of fly genetics, we develop a comprehensive Drosophila COVID-19 resource (DCR) consisting of publicly available strains for conditional tissue-specific expression of all SARS-CoV-2 encoded proteins, UAS-human cDNA transgenic lines encoding established host-viral interacting factors, and GAL4 insertion lines disrupting fly homologs of SARS-CoV-2 human interacting proteins.

High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) is an essential component of the diagnosis and assessment of patients with interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). In some cases, a diagnosis of ILD can be made solely based on a multidisciplinary discussion of HRCT findings and clinical evaluation. HRCT findings also inform prognosis and may influence treatment decisions.
