Analysis of the nutritional composition and organization of school meals in the province of Kadiogo in Burkina Faso: challenges and prospects.

Background: In the face of food shortages and precariousness, school meals are an effective means of encouraging pupils to attend and stay in school, and of combating nutritional deficiencies. Unfortunately, there are bottlenecks to be identified and resolved.

Objective: Analyzing the composition of meals served to school-age children in primary schools in the province of Kadiogo, while assessing the opinion of school staff on these meals (Burkina Faso).

Introduction: Spermatic cord torsion (SCT) is a rare urological emergency that can jeopardize the fertility of the patient. Our study aimed to investigate the epidemiological, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of SCT in Souro Sanou University Teaching Hospital.

Materials And Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study with retrospective data collection from January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2021, in the emergency surgical and urology division of Souro Sanou University Hospital.

Complications of non-medical assisted circumcision in Burkina Faso. Clinical presentation, management, and outcomes - about 23 cases and literature review.

Objective: To report the clinical presentation of circumcision complications encountered at our center and evaluate their management and outcomes.

Patients And Methods: A retrospective and descriptive study was conducted at Souro Sanou University Hospital between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2018. All patients presenting with circumcision complications were included.

Efforts Towards Polio Eradication in Madagascar: 1997 to 2017.

Background: In 1988, the World Health Assembly launched the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. WHO AFRO is close to achieve this goal with the last wild poliovirus detected in 2014 in Borno States in Nigeria. The certification of the WHO African Region requires that all the 47 member states meet the critical indicators for a polio free status.
