Left ventricular end-diastolic (LVED) volume was augmented in eleven, LVED pressure increased in fourteen, and ejection fraction decreased in nine patients. A decrease of maximum velocity of myocardial fibre shortening was observed in fifteen, and of normalised ventricular rigidity index in eleven.
