Objectives: This study aims to develop and validate a sampler to measure workers' exposure to the vapor and mist of benzyl alcohol.
Methods: Recovery rate, extraction and desorption rates, breakthrough, and storage stability were tested using Slim-J connected to a glass fiber filter upstream (the connected sampler). The recovery rate of the connected sampler was compared with that of XAD-7.
Background/aim: Neoadjuvant chemoradiation therapy (nCRT) followed by surgery is recommended for patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). However, because 30%-40% of patients with LARC do not respond to nCRT, better prediction of treatment responses and survival outcomes is required. Therefore, this study aimed to identify apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values that predict survival outcomes after nCRT in patients with LARC.

This study aimed to evaluate whether listening to songs recorded by parents was effective in stabilizing the condition of premature infants. This randomized controlled study was conducted at the University of Miyazaki Hospital from October 2022 to March 2024 during the COVID-19 pandemic period.

This study employs artificial intelligence (AI), specifically Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and the interpretability tool Captum, to analyse non-figurative drawings by Molly, an orangutan. The research utilizes VGG19 and ResNet18 models to decode seasonal nuances in the drawings, achieving notable accuracy in seasonal classification and revealing complex influences beyond human-centric methods.
