: Although multimodal pain therapy (MPT) is widely used in pain management for chronic cervical radiculopathy, its effect on increasing muscle strength in patients with cervical radiculopathy is not well documented. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of a structured multimodal pain management program on muscle strength in these patients, using objective strength measurements as indicators of therapeutic success. : This non-randomized, uncontrolled, prospective clinical study initially included 35 patients, but 10 were excluded due to incomplete data, resulting in a final sample of 25 patients (14 women and 11 men, aged 42 to 84 years) with cervical radiculopathy who underwent a multimodal pain management program at a specialized orthopedic clinic.

Agriculture serves as both a source and a sink of global greenhouse gases (GHGs), with agricultural intensification continuing to contribute to GHG emissions. Climate-smart agriculture, encompassing both nature- and technology-based actions, offers promising solutions to mitigate GHG emissions. We synthesized global data, between 1990 and 2021, from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations to analyze the impacts of agricultural activities on global GHG emissions from agricultural land, using structural equation modeling.

Low-intensity transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) is a noninvasive technique that safely alters neural activity, reaching deep brain areas with good spatial accuracy. We investigated the effects of TUS in macaques using a recent metric, the synergy minus redundancy rank gradient, which quantifies different kinds of neural information processing. We analyzed this high-order quantity on the fMRI data after TUS in two targets: the supplementary motor area (SMA-TUS) and the frontal polar cortex (FPC-TUS).

Globally, high sodium intake is the leading dietary risk factor of morality. Most Americans, including children, consume too much sodium compared with the federal guidelines. Socioeconomic and racial disparities place children, many of color, from low-income households and neighborhoods, at higher risk of consuming foods high in sodium.
