Introduction: Assessing LDL cholesterol is pivotal for cardiovascular risk evaluation. While direct LDL measurement is accurate, calculated LDL methods offer practicality and cost-effectiveness. This study aims to evaluate the correlation between direct LDL measurement and various calculated LDL methods, shedding light on their clinical utility.

Background: Zinc finger homeodomain (ZF-HD) belongs to the plant-specific transcription factor (TF) family and is widely involved in plant growth, development and stress responses. Despite their importance, a comprehensive identification and analysis of ZF-HD genes in the soybean (Glycine max) genome and their possible roles under abiotic stress remain unexplored.

Results: In this study, 51 ZF-HD genes were identified in the soybean genome that were unevenly distributed on 17 chromosomes.

Escalating SOx and NOx emissions from industrial plants necessitates customized scrubbing solutions to improve removal efficiency and tackle cost limitations in existing wet FGD units. This work investigates the real-time intensified removal pathways via an innovative two-stage countercurrent spray tower configuration strategically integrating NaOH (M) and NaOH/NaClO (M/M) to remove SOx and NOx emissions simultaneously from the industrial stack through a comprehensive parametric study of absorbents concentration, reaction temperature, gas flow rate, liquid to gas ratio (F/F), and absorbent showering head. Flue gas stream comprising SO bearing 4500 ppm, SO bearing 300 ppm, 70 ppm NO, and 50 ppm NO brought into contact with two scrubbing solutions as M, and a complex absorbent of M/M at varying respective ratios.

The importance of developing multifunctional nanomaterials for sensing technologies is increasing with the arrival of nanotechnology. In this study, we describe the introduction of novel nanoprobe electro-active material into the architecture of an electrochemical immuno-sensor. Based on the electrochemical immuno-sensor, functionalized tin oxide/graphitic carbon nitride nanocomposite (fSnO/g-CN) was synthesized and then analyte specific anti-aflatoxin M monoclonal antibody (AFM-ab) combined to form an electro-active nanoprobe (fSnO/g-CN/AFM-ab).

A comparative metabolomic study of three varieties of wild Rosa (, , and ) from a Kamchatka expedition (2024) was conducted via extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide modified with ethanol (EtOH), and detection of bioactive compounds was realized via tandem mass spectrometry. Several experimental conditions were investigated in the pressure range 50-350 bar, with the used volume of co-solvent ethanol in the amount of 2% in the liquid phase at a temperature in the range of 31-70 °C. The most effective extraction conditions are the following: pressure 200 Bar and temperature 55 °C for ; pressure 250 Bar and temperature 60 °C for ; pressure 200 Bar and temperature 60 °C for .
